For me it's between classic and R, both of which I absolutely love (episodes, characters-villains included). I remember watching the last few episodes of classic and completely falling in love with the anime. Another standout was from R, the episode where Mamoru broke up with Usagi...not that I'm pro that, just simply an episode I didn't forget.

I actually love them each equally. I chose SuperS because it didn't seem to be getting much love.

Classic definitely.. no doubt about it.. The main reason I loved the classic was that it actually had a plot. But I've only seen the dic version and some of the original subbed.. but still I feel the rest of the seasons except stars have the same episode over and over again with different monsters. Also, there was so much more attention on the rest of the senshi in the first season not just usagi.

S! Yay outer senshi :]. (... and it's the only one I've seen in full. XD I'm missing a few episodes off the Classic though.)
o.o; I've always found SuperS boring =x.

It's weird, didn't follow the manga, no outer senshi in the anime, but it was a very fun season! Some my top favorites episodes and Villains come from SuperS!

Oh here's the late comer...
I chose R, but Classic is a close second. I love Classic because even in the English I fell in love. Even though every so often Usagi's voice was different, I fell in love. But the truth is that R stole my soul. My absolute favorite moment in Sailor Moon, perhaps ever, is in the beginning of R. I don't want to spoil it at all, but those who have seen it should remember Usagi crying earnestly in a telephone booth. This is the episode with Birdie and the weird make-up shop. I think I loved it so much because other than the end of Classic (who doesn't love the scene with all of their spirit hands on the wand battling Beryl??) this is the first time we see Usagi cry and not seem like a complete annoying reject. My heart went out to her and she's been there since. heh.
Of course there is Stars too... I can't really go into why either, due to spoilers, but we all know about Usagi/Mamoru during that entire season and it just breaks my heart. I love it. Oh and yeah how about the fact that Usagi is so much more mature and grown up? Yeah she's still silly but you can see a change. I guess that's why I love her and the show so much. You actually see a progression and it's fantastic.
Wow.. rambling. Sorry.

S! Without a doubt. The outers are just... agh, i can't even put it in words! But between them and the Witches 5+Tomoe, it makes the perfect mix of crazy shit that makes it my ultimate favorite season. Overall (and maybe with SuperS close) it's the darkest of seasons, to put it somehow, and the WTF factor from the villains is a huge bonus. Oh, i could rant for hours about how much i love this ^_^

I actually didn't vote, because I really do have a hard time choosing. In the anime, S and Stars were cool. In the manga, EVERY arc is awesome.
But for some odd reason...despite Chibiusa being my favorite character, SuperS/the Dream Arc is my least favorite in the anime AND manga...

Anime wise it is a tie between the second arc of R and Stars, but I picked R. I love Demando to death so I'm a bit biased. Manga wise Stars wins hands down.

Eh, I had a hard time with this one. I love the classic, but I also love the Stars season (although my poor Mamochan isn't in it much). I actually have only watched the Stars seaon once, but when I did it was like wow! I chose the Stars (even though I missed Mamochan) because well I really liked Iron Mouse ^^;; and I suppose Seiya was enjoyable ...

I'm sorry, but nothing beats the drama of the Classic season for me. I think that's when the series had the most charm, because everything was so simple and humble and modest, but still subtly extravagant and really graceful. I've got to be honest, Eternal Sailor Moon's fuku (PLASTIC WINGS WTF) and the Starlights being a little too "LOOKIT HOW KEWL WE R" was what turned me off of STARS. I like the season, but I like it the least out of the five.
SuperS is DEFINITELY a close second for me, though, simply because it's so outrageously humorous and really innovative when you think about it. There's a website out there that defends SuperS, but I'll let you find it for yourselves. I'll just say this: a season in which Tuxedo Kamen saves Super Sailor Moon and Super Sailor Chibi Moon from a trampoline monster?! INSTA-WIN.

Definitely Stars for me. I love the anima-mates, Starlights, and Seiya/Usagi. Lol.
