I can't believe this hasn't come up in our over one year of discussion! =O
So, which of the movies, or even the specials (hence the OTHER option up thar), is your favorite?
It's an easy choice for me. The SMR movie! The story was incredibly well-done, not to mention the art was easily the best out of the three main movies. Even if he is a lame-o, it was nice seeing more insight into Mamoru's past and why he's so insanely obsessed with roses. XD Plus, the final scene is one of my favorite scenes in all of BSSM. Moon Revenge is a great song, and I like that the Inners actually take up the idea that they need to protect Sailormoon (much like in the manga).
SMS was better as a side-story in the manga, even though it's still a good watch. I usually end up crying when Luna does. ;3; And SuperS was too much crack for me. ^_^; MUCH LIKE THE ACTUAL SEASON YES.

You know, I have basically the EXACT SAME views on all the movies.
But! I did enjoy SuperS in a way. Simply because crack is hilarious but not in that good way, yanno? XD

I think the R film was probably the strongest plot-wise, but I get bored when the Outers aren't involved - reason one why I have never gotten around to watching SuperS. Black Dream Hole would probably have many redeeming features if one got high before watching it; the song at the beginning wins at everything ever. I admit, I do enjoy abusing the SuperS movie as it plays for various inconsistencies. I think Hearts in Ice is very sweet Human Luna is gorgeous and I'm only sorry that they didn't see fit to add in human Artemis, because I think they could have with a few adjustments. The Michiru and Haruka special rocks harder than the movies, though; my inner HM shipper enjoyed having an episode devoted entirely to them.

It was kinda sad for the Outers, considering they didn't even get an appearance in the SS movie. =(
Just like the SS season, AGAIN. *gasp*

Loved the R movie. Loved Moon Revenge. Enjoyed the other two, but I have to agree that R is the best movie. Plus, Princess Serenity for the win! I also agree it was the strongest plotwise. I don't recall liking the S movie as much. And the SS movie was a bit off the wall, although Peruru rocked my socks as a character, so there's a bonus there. Double Moon Gorgeous Meditation was also pretty neat - wished they'd used that in the series once in awhile. It certainly would have made a better ending for the SuperS season than Chibimoon's lame plea for everyone to shout Golden Crystal Power or whatever.....

I voted hearts in ice because of luna and her love...

But Luna's love makes her relationship with Artemis so sad. :T I disliked S actually because of that-- LunaxArtemis > Luna's FLING! D:

I honestly thought that artemis's willingness to be there for Luna even after she was so in love with Kakeru was amazing! It made their love seem so much stronger to me. And really took away a lot of the misgivings I had with Luna X Artemis that his obsession with Mina had caused for me.

That made me think Artemis's love was strong, but meh. Artemis's Mina thing seemed to be... more... understandable? to me, considering he had been with her for years. I dunno, a few years > a few days together to me. XD
ETA: Luna falling in love with a stranger makes me think she had no respect for Artemis's feelings, too, but whatever. x: She might have claimed that she had no idea of Artemis's feelings, but I think that's just BS. But this is just speculation, because we're debating about freaking imaginary cats buuut whatever again.

ZOMG KITTEH JUBS.
From my viewpoint, I don't think Luna OR Artemis really realized their feelings for each other up until the Kakeru thing. It took the heartbreak from Kakeru for Luna to realize that Art is the one who is there for her! And Art is just spacy. XD
And as for Artemis' obsession with Minako, I think that's more of a ..... historical thing, really. He reminisces about her as the goddess Venus--an amazing beauty. So, I saw more-or-less as Art being infatuated with Minako's beauty, no so much Minako herself. =O

Hmm, actually, I agree with the Artemis obsession thing.
As for neither of them realizing their feelings... Perhaps.
But really, another reason why I dislike S? Artemis didn't get to be human. That would've been made of win.

Seriously. XD
Sometimes it's amazing to believe the same company did both "ends" of the movies, from R to SS. R is "zomg super serious" and SS is "zomg super on drugs." </3
