well those ones are still ALW's phantom and pretty much the same (although the one in vegas is shorter and has lots of new special effects and stuff). There's also Ken Hill's Phantom of the Opera (which inspired ALW to make his version), Maury Yeston's Phantom (which was performed by Takarazuka - woo! There were other productions to), um...and... I can't think of the other. XD But here's a big gaint list of Phantom adaptations, if your interetested: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Phantom_of_the_Opera_(adaptations)Oh yeah, and ALW is making a sequel to his musical... That man is crazy, it's going to be horrible. The book he's basing it off of - the summary just looks horrible and I've never heard of a single person liking it, all reviews I've read are bad. I picked up the book, Phantom of Manhattan by Frederick Forsyth, from Half Price Books I'm going to start reading it soon (I have to! It's phantom. XD)

PHANGIRL FTW RIGHT HERE. <3 Phantom is one of my top fangirlisms. Right under DBZ and Sailormoon. =O I own three different movie versions (1925, 1949, 2004), have seen 5 (the 80s slasher movie and bits of the mini-series), own the original book (Le Fantome de l'Opera by Gaston Leroux), and watch the musicals often on YouTube. <3 JOJ is still my favorite Phantom ever. His performance of the last bit of the musical always makes me tear up~ ;_; The book remains my favorite version though. I read it in the process of two days back in high school and I crrrrriiiiiieeeed like a baby at the end. It's so sad~~ but it really is a wonderful read. It's actually a detective-type story ... detective mystery stories were Leroux's claim to fame. (Even though he wasn't ever really FAMOUS.)

yay! I've yet to watch the one with robert englund [im a scaredy (omg spelling?) butt] but I have the DVD ... and I downloaded the mini-series but havent watched it yet. I suck! XD I've seen the three you own though! Do you ever watch PhantomPocky's videos on youtube? because thats totally me. XD I actually have a bunch of phantom bootlegs (like the ones on youtube; except the whole show, not just clips) - I have JOJ's final performance (oh I love him! He's my third fav. XD)! www.freewebs.com/pockypanys/musical.htmIf your interested I could share but if not thats cool (and if I'm not suppost to even be mentioning this, like its against rules or something, please slap me. XD)

OMG! While I at work today I remembered a redeeming quality of the movie! They gave the Phantom a past! Yeah it was weird but y'know... it was kinda cool. :3 Oh, and I liked Meg's voice in the movie. I could sing with her. Made me happy Plus she sounded good. :3 I guess if I had only seen the movie I'd have liked it a lot more. But ... some of the stuff just isn't as impressive in the movie as it is on stage. Cause in movies you have special effects and filming studios and what not. On stage... you have lights, stage and props. So like... the boat ride in the begining during the Phantom of the Opera song ... so impressive on stage! On the movie... not so much :\

I kind of renewed my love for phantom last night by downloading the movie with Maximillian Schell and attempting to make a DVD with the mini-series I downloaded forever ago (which took 3+ hours to burn and the sound doesnt even work ) but yeah. I also found this amazing site with a bunch of the different movie/tv versions and information on each of them www.thephilmography.com/index.html

Wow, a high school? Good luck with that viewing. I have the sneaking suspicion that it'll suck, LOL. Considering it's not an easy production to pull-off, what with Christine's super-soprano range (oh, Brightman, you~) and Erik's TENOR VOICE OF SEX. D: Can't imagine a pubescent kid getting away with it. XDD But whatever y0. Let me know how it goes!!

yeah, that's what I thought it would be like to. But I'll go to anything phantom even if it does suck. XD After watching the video on here (http://www.star-telegram.com/407/story/330896.html) I think it might be kind of good, not as good as the actual production of course but not bad either.
