Ooh yeah.. I loved Laputa too.. I just love how Miyazaki can transport you into a new world (yeah I know that was cheesy). But I didn't really like Princess Mononoke though.. dunno why tho.

I really love Laputa! And I also love Spirited Away! Has anyone watched the Grave of the Fireflies. I love that too! Even though it's sooooo sad!

I love Totoro, but that's basically it. I find a lot of the movies to not be as good as the hype, so they tend to disappoint me. =\ Except for Grave of the Fireflies, which made me tear up a bit.
I may just love Pom Poko for the crazy kamikaze scrotum scene, but at the same time, that scene makes me facepalm.

I own all of those x3; ! Speaking of Ghibli though, Miyazaki just announced on his website that he is now working on his next movie! "Gake no ue no Ponyo" (Ponyo On A Cliff)~ Most likely set in Tomo no Ura, a place he spent some time in last Spring :3

XD I still have to see his Ursula LeGuin inspired movie. ... even though I have yet to read the Earthsea series o.o; STILL! XD
... And I need to read the Diana Wynne Jones books too o.o;
Anyone read any of these books that Miyazaki based his movies on? =D
Oh PomPoko. What a strange movie XDXD.

Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke, definitely. I also love some of the non-Miyazaki Ghiblis, like The Cat Returns and Whisper of the Heart.

I've never been a huge Ghibli fan. (I'm with mochibuni...I don't think they're usually as good as they're hyped up to be) But I have a couple favorites. Kiki's Delivery Service and Mononoke Hime are both good. Totoro was good, but...weird.
I think what turns me off the most is the animation style.=\

I'm not a huge fan, but I'm an animation major, so while the style may not be the most beautiful, the animation itself is like....GAH. Absolutely jaw-dropping, awe-inspiring, bullet-sweating GORGEOUS.
